News from the Chair:
The 77th Pyrford & Wisley Village Show brings the Circus to Pyrford.
Despite a damp start to the day, this year saw the largest turn out for the show. Thousands of people came to experience The Big Top Circus Extravaganza with The Black Eagles Acrobatics headlining the arena events.
Following tradition, the show was opened by the mayor of Woking, Cllr Louise Morales, who was joined by Woking MP Will Forster.
This year also saw a record number of stalls, comprised of local charity’s, businesses, schools and such a variety of food vendors that you’ll have to come back next year to try the ones you couldn’t squeeze in.
Hundreds of people flocked to the arena to watch the The Black Eagles Acrobatics display and performances by Pyrford Primary School, Prime Acrobatics and Julie Sianne Theatre Arts. Pyrford Little Theatre also performed their circus show, which included firing someone out of a cannon.
On the other side of the show saw live music performed on the stage throughout the day. To top it all, This Is Queen got the crowd going wild, they had One Vision, “We Will Rock You”. They certainly didn’t disappoint and what an incredible way to finish off what has been another amazing Village show.
A special thank you from the committee to the army of volunteers who give up their time whether it’s to help set up, or help on the day. Without volunteers to help there would be no Village show.
Please hold the date of Saturday 12th July for the 2025 show.
